How do I create a family?

The creator is automatically assigned the parent role.

How do family members join?

New members join as children by default. A parent can promote them in Settings.

Parent vs. child roles?

Parents create and assign chores, approve completions, manage rewards, change roles, and access all settings.

Children view the calendar, mark chores done (pending approval), request rewards, and join family chat.

How do chores work?

Parents create chores and assign them to family members. Chores repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or once. Children mark them done, then a parent verifies. Verified chores earn stars for the reward store.

How does the reward system work?

Parents set up rewards (screen time, treats, custom items) with a star cost. Kids earn stars from verified chores and request rewards when they have enough. Parents approve or decline.

Real-time shopping lists?

Yes. Lists sync instantly across all devices. Add items, assign to members, and check them off together.

Trip planning?

The Trips tab (Premium) lets you plan with flights, hotels, trains, buses, activities, packing lists, expense tracking with receipt scanning, trip photos, and weather forecasts.

How does family location tracking work?

The Family Map shows all members on a live map with color-coded freshness rings. Each member controls their own location sharing toggle. For geofence alerts and background tracking, grant "Always" location permission.

How does Emergency SOS work?

Tap the red SOS button on the map. All family members receive an instant alert with your live location. An alarm plays on their devices (overrides silent mode). Your location streams in real time until resolved. Also appears as a Live Activity on the lock screen.

What are geofence zones, check-ins, and late arrival alerts?

Geofence zones: Parents set up zones (home, school, work) and get notified on arrival/departure.

Check-in: One-tap "I'm safe" button sends parents a notification with your location.

Late arrival alerts: Set an expected time on a zone (e.g., "School by 8:30 AM"). If the child hasn't arrived by then, parents get alerted. (Premium)

Battery alerts: Get notified when a family member's phone is running low.

How do recipes and meal planning work?

Save recipes manually or import from any URL. Plan meals for the week (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks). Cooking Mode provides step-by-step instructions with automatic timers that show as Live Activities on your lock screen.

Cancel or restore?

Cancel: iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions > FamiCircle > Cancel. You keep access until the billing period ends.

Restore: Sign in with the same Apple ID, go to FamiCircle Settings, tap Restore Purchases.

Data not syncing?

• Check internet on all devices
• Make sure everyone is in the same family group
• Close and reopen the app
• Update to the latest version

Not receiving notifications?

Go to iPhone Settings > Notifications > FamiCircle and make sure notifications are enabled.

Forgot password?

Tap "Forgot Password" on the sign-in screen. If you use Sign in with Apple, just tap that button instead.

Delete my account?

Email support@slaterapplications.com from your account email. We'll delete your data within 30 days.

What is RapItUp?

RapItUp is a party game where you freestyle rap clues to get your friends to guess a word — but certain forbidden words are off limits. Think Taboo meets hip-hop.

Game modes?

Classic: 30-second timer. Score as many words as you can before time runs out.

Pass the Bomb: A hidden random timer. Every time you pass to the next player the fuse speeds up. Don't be holding it when it blows.

How many players?

1 to 4+ players. Play solo, head-to-head, or in teams. There's also a drinking mode for parties (21+ only).

Local multiplayer?

Yes. RapItUp supports Bluetooth/Wi-Fi local multiplayer. No internet required — just be in the same room.

How many word packs?

20 word packs across 4 genres. Free packs are included, with more available through Premium or individual purchase.

Can I create my own packs?

Yes. The custom pack editor lets you create word packs with your own words and forbidden words.

Premium pricing?

Premium unlocks all word packs and genres. Available as a monthly or yearly subscription. You can also buy individual packs separately.

Cancel or restore?

Cancel: iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions > RapItUp > Cancel.

Restore: Open RapItUp, go to Settings, tap Restore Purchases.

No sound or music?

• Check that your iPhone isn't on silent mode (flip the side switch)
• Turn up the volume
• Check the in-app audio settings

Multiplayer not connecting?

• Make sure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on all devices
• All players must be on the same version of the app
• Stay within Bluetooth range (about 30 feet)
• Try closing and reopening the app on all devices

App frozen or crashing?

Force-close the app (swipe up from the app switcher) and reopen. If the issue persists, make sure you're on the latest version from the App Store.
